Red's debut album End of Silence was released in 2006, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of "Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album" at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. This five member band - Michael Barnes (vocals, piano), Anthony Armstrong (guitars), Jasen Rauch (guitars), Randy Armstrong (bass, piano) and Hayden Lamb (drums) – “hopes their music communicates to listeners that they are not alone in their struggles”. According to lead vocalist Mike Barnes, Red stands for: passion, pain, but ultimately, redemption, says the band’s website.
