If you say February to someone who is happily in love, or even enjoying the single life, the first thing that comes to their head would be, love.February is the month that people take the time to thank their loved ones. Most "taken" teens and adults go on dates and just truly enjoy each other’s company and thank them for their love.
What alot of people don't know is that according to brownielocks.com, February also represents alot more than Valentine's Day. February is:
- Youth Leadership Month,
- National Mend-a-Broken Heart Month,
- National Laugh-Friendly Month,
- National Boost-Self-Esteem Month.
Have you done anything to accomplish your goals that may connect with these holidays?
- This group was a mission of mine. I wanted young girls to realize how beautiful they truly are. That their spirits hold a light in their hearts and when you are supported by God, that light will shine into the world. This month I took the time to study the issues that most teens face today, if they are willing to admit it or not. This month is youth leadership month, and I hope that I have helped lead teenagers to God. They are beautiful. You are beautiful, and you are loved.
- A boy broke my heart in the last week of January, and honestly I spent this whole month taking it all in. Accepting it, regretting it, getting angry, crying, and then walking away. Of course I still have feelings in my heart that bring me down occasionally, but I have the love of God in my heart so why should I settle right now? I'm 15 and I have an amazing future to look forward to. His support was lovely but maybe I wouldn't be where I am now, if we were still together...
- Mostly because of all of that ^^^ I have made this month laugh-friendly! Enjoying life is so essential. I am not aware of your life and your circumstances but you are loved. God loves you and that itself should fill your heart with joy. The joy to make this month Laugh-Friendly.
- I created this group on February 18th, which is actually me and my ex-boyfriend's anniversary. I was sitting here asking this question to a group of girls: "Do you miss your ex-boyfriend? I miss mine..." Then my dad introduced me to the song Your Hands by JJ Heller. This song clearly says (speaking to God): "I know you hate to see me cry. I know one day you will set all things right. When my world is shaking heaven stands. And when my heart is breaking I never leave your hands." I suddenly felt happy. My heart was comforted by this song. If it's over a boy who made a mistake by taking advantage of your heart, or maybe you get teased at school, or you don't feel appreciated, never forget that God is there. God hears your cries and he knows when you feel heartbroken. I am so in love with God and that has made me feel happier about myself. Allow God into your heart, and you will soon realize how much he loves you, and that you were never truly alone.
