The Afters, originally known as Blisse, was founded by Joshua Havens and Matt Fuqua who played for customers at Starbucks, before deciding to form a band with fellow coffee shop employees Brad Wigg and Marc Dodd. The band has produced three studio length albums – the most recent, Never Going Back to Ok, arrived in 2008. This recent album reflects a transformation in the members “desire to escape mediocrity and embrace the best God has for us”. Notably, The Afters were named New Artist of the Year at the Gospel Music Association's 2006 Dove Awards.
